About Masai Mara
The Masai Mara National Reserve is Kenya's most famous wildlife sanctuary and part of the greater Serengeti-Mara ecosystem. Named after the Maasai people and the Mara River, this reserve offers unparalleled wildlife viewing year-round.
From July to October, over 1.5 million wildebeest and zebras cross the Mara River in the dramatic Great Migration river crossings. The reserve is also home to exceptional populations of lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and the endangered black rhino.
