About the Atlantic Ocean
The Atlantic Ocean is the second-largest ocean, stretching from the Americas in the west to Europe and Africa in the east. Its waters have been a crucial route for exploration, trade, and migration for centuries.
The Atlantic features the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, the longest mountain range on Earth, running north-south along its floor. From the dramatic cliffs of Ireland to the tropical beaches of the Caribbean, the Atlantic offers incredible diversity.
