About Karon
Karon Beach stretches for 3 kilometers of pristine white sand that makes a distinctive squeaking sound when you walk on it. Less crowded than nearby Patong, Karon offers a more relaxed atmosphere while still providing excellent restaurants, shops, and beach activities. The southern end of the beach offers great snorkeling, while the main stretch is perfect for swimming and sunbathing. Karon Temple (Wat Suwan Khiri Khet) with its colorful market adds cultural interest to beach days.
