What resolution does each poster size need?
The bigger the poster, the more pixels your photo needs. We accept a size from 150 DPI and recommend 300 DPI for the sharpest result.
Every size is printed in both portrait and landscape — 30 × 40 cm is the same product as 40 × 30 cm. We match the orientation to your photo automatically.

Minimum (150 DPI): Below this the size is locked for your photo.
Recommended (300 DPI): Gallery-sharp, no visible pixels up close.
- A modern phone photo (12 MP, ~4000 × 3000 px) prints beautifully up to 50 × 70 cm (19.7 × 27.6 in).
- Never upscale in an editor first — upload the original file and we do the scaling.
- Screenshots and images saved from social media are usually too small for large sizes.
How much DPI do you really need?
DPI only matters relative to viewing distance. A large poster on a wall is seen from 1–2 metres, and there a lower DPI looks just as sharp as 300 up close.
300 DPI
Best — close viewing
Small formats and photos you look at from 30–50 cm (12–20 in).
150 DPI
Recommended — normal wall distance
Looks sharp from about 1 metre (3 ft). This is what most posters are printed at.
100 DPI
Fine for large formats
From 1.5–2 metres (5–6 ft) the eye cannot resolve more detail. Good for 50 × 70 cm and up.
We accept from 100 DPI. Below that the print starts to look soft even at a distance, so the size stays locked.
