Åre

Åre is Sweden's best-known mountain resort, with alpine skiing in winter and hiking, trail running and mountain biking in the snow-free season. The village sits beside Åresjön and has a compact centre with restaurants, shops and direct access to lifts and trails. Rail connections make it possible to arrive without a car.
