    About Spain

Spain's territory is organized into 17 autonomous communities and 2 autonomous cities, each with varying degrees of self-governance. These communities are further divided into 50 provinces. The autonomous communities range from single-province regions like Madrid and La Rioja to multi-province areas like Andalusia (8 provinces) and Castile and León (9 provinces). This decentralized system reflects Spain's rich regional diversity, with distinct languages spoken in Catalonia (Catalan), the Basque Country (Basque), Galicia (Galician), and Valencia (Valencian). Each region maintains unique cultural traditions, cuisines, and festivals that make exploring Spain an endlessly rewarding experience.
